Fighting for Energy Security
Promoting energy security in Juneau is a top priority for Ky. Ky believes Alaska must remain an energy exporter and not an importer.
With years of experience in the oil & gas and mining industries, Ky has seen firsthand that Alaska must invest in new technologies to remain globally competitive. Alaska has the potential to support in-state energy production, but it will take strong leadership in Juneau.
Ky is the only candidate in the race that understands the issue and what it takes to lead Alaska to energy security and independence while maintaining reliability and affordability.
Rooted in Our Community
Ky grew up on the Anchorage Hillside and attended our local schools. He is a Service High grad. He’s been involved in his neighborhood association and community council for many years. He helped lead and worked with our local community councils on community plans, wildfire resilience, and neighborhood public safety plans.
Ky has spent the last decade working with students, business owners, and startups to build our future Alaska.
He is running for State House to continue that good work in Juneau and help lead move our district and our state forward.
Public Education Champion
Ky knows investing in our students is an investment in our future economy, businesses, employees, and young professionals.
Ky believes we must do more to fund education, keep class sizes down, prevent school closures in our community, get students the one-on-one attention they deserve, and ensure students are learning the practical and technical skills they need to be successful in the world. We must recruit and retain talented educators.
Many families choose South Anchorage for the schools. We must do everything we can to ensure our neighborhood schools remain some of the best in the state.
