Kathy and her family have been fortunate to make their lives in our district. Kathy will stand up for good paying jobs in our communities. Kathy will also advocate for responsible development that puts more of our citizens to work in their own communities.
Our Coastal Economy
Kathy grew up Commercial fishing in Prince William Sound with her father. And after marrying into a fishing family, she is acutely aware of how important the fishing industry is to our coastal communities. Kathy will fight to ensure our local fisherman is given every opportunity to feed their families and build the economy of Alaska.
Additionally, the marine highway is vital to our communities. Kathy is committed to fight for sustainable funding so that our communities can have the access they deserve.
Public Education Champion
After a 30 year career in public education, Kathy is very knoweldgedable and committed to protecting our students, schools, and educators. Kathy understands that public education is not only important for our kids, but vital to a thriving economy.
In Juneau, she will support sustainable school funding, smart reforms, and local control of our schools.
